You will serve as a Supervisory Accountant within the Financial Management Division of the Office of Chief Financial Officer providing expert interpretation and application of Agency accounting policies; generally accepted accounting principles and other regulatory requirements; focal points for analysis and reporting; formulating strategies consistent with NASA's strategic plan and missions; and fostering an environment conducive to a high performing workforce. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Overseeing or managing a team, function, or project performing financial activities and providing technical oversight of financial management or accounting processes; Developing and recommending revisions to existing or new internal controls, accounting, financial reporting, financial policies, processes, or procedures; Evaluating financial reports to ensure compliance, accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
