OUR MISSION

Casa de la Familia is dedicated to ensuring the long-lasting mental health success of individuals who have experienced psychological trauma. Casa de la Familia specializes in the treatment of post-traumatic, anxiety, and depressive disorders through the provision of crisis intervention and long-term individual and family therapy. We work closely with city, county, and state social service agencies, police departments, victim advocates, family resource centers, nonprofit agencies, and community service programs.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for a Community Outreach Representative to identify, cultivate, and enhance Casa de la Familia's community reach based out of Los Angeles, CA. They will be responsible for seeking out and growing partnerships across various Los Angeles County communities that can help grow and support Casa de la Familia programs and services. We are seeking a passionate representative who wants to help increase access to mental health services for those who need it most. Strategic relationship building amongst other service providers is a cornerstone of the Community Outreach Representative's function.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The Community Outreach Representative works directly with the outreach team, programmatic managers, and marketing teams to support Casa de la Familia outreach efforts across Southern California and online. The Community Outreach Representative will work remotely but will be required to attend in-person meetings and events in Los Angeles County as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In your first 90 days, you will:
  • Complete Casa's on-boarding training
  • Have an in-depth training of Casa de la Familia's programs and services
  • Be introduced to your new collaborative working team
  • Attend in-person and virtual meetings and events as Casa de la Familia's representative
  • Attend at least one community event connecting with the community to refer services
  • Collaborate with outreach and marketing teams to generate new ideas to expand outreach to the community and meet goals
  • Meet and build relationships with Los Angeles partners
Within your first 6 months, you will:
  • Facilitate outreach to grow Los Angeles-based programs and services.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted Casa de la Familia representative in the community and with partners.
  • Manage in-person outreach at events in Los Angeles
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related position
  • Experience working with the Latinx community in Los Angeles and/or Los Angeles County
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other service providers and law enforcement
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and maintain a workload
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people in an emphatic and non-judgmental manner
  • Strong and effective oral/written communication skills and public speaking
  • Willing to work with a flexible working schedule as many events happen in the afternoons (after 5 pm) or on weekends.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary ranges from $48,000 to $55,000 depending on educational and work experience. Daily work is remote but will require in-person attendance to events and meetings as needed in Los Angeles County (Primarily in Los Angeles, El Monte, and Covina SPA 3 &4). This is a full-time position and the working schedule will be flexible to account for working community events and attending meetings as needed.
