Fuel Cell Research Internship

Project and Responsibilities:

As a full-time research intern, you will work with a team and assist in the screening and integration of membranes and ionomers into full fuel cell devices.

You will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating MEA performance and durability.
  • Assisting in the screening of electrolyte materials and the development of CCM.  
  • Investigating innovative solutions for modifications to membranes and ionomers aimed at enhancing performance and durability. 

Qualifications:

  • Currently in a Ph.D program in Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in either of the following categories:
  • Experience in polymeric membrane formulation and fabrication.
  • Experience in synthesizing monomer, polymers or functional group is highly valued.
  • Experience in MEA preparation and electrochemical device characterization (i.e. cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, etc).
