The Software Engineer II will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting OSIS software products and in-house applications. Job activities include full-stack application development, unit testing, build and release management, application updates and troubleshooting issues, and database development (stored procedures, SQL queries, and views).
Essential Job Functions
Takes a disciplined approach to designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting current and new .Net applications, following software engineering best practices
Effectively tests code through unit test development and execution
Proactively explores methods and tools to improve and enhance software.
Creates and updates documentation for installations, upgrades, and other related peripheral programs and activities.
Assists with QA testing, developing, and executing test cases
Receives escalated tickets; resolves or escalates tickets based on customer need and application issues; communicates tasks that need to be completed to resolve customer issues with other internal resources as needed.
Maintains up-to-date and accurate ticket status and documentation; for projects and escalated tickets.
Required Education And Experience
BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of professional experience developing Microsoft. .Net-based MVC applications, C#. ASP.Net Core
At least 2 years of professional experience with JavaScript & TypeScript, with strict adherence to best practices
Experience with Agile/Scrum as well as the full SDLC
Preferred Experience
Prefer 3+ years of experience with the following:
Visual Studio, VSCode, C#, NuGet
Angular, JSON, JQuery
LINQ and Entity Framework or other ORMs
SOAP and RESTful Services
MS SQL Server, TSQL, Views, Stored Procedures
Azure DevOps, Git
Continuous Integration/Build Automation
Experience in the Healthcare domain a plus.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Position Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position remote position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
