Summary
As the Account Manager, you are responsible for managing an assigned book of business, which includes both day-to-day service and overall management of client benefit programs.

What You Will Do
  • Marketing and Renewals: Responsible for marketing client benefit programs with carriers, third parties, and other applicable vendors. Ensure proper timelines are followed and proactively engage with clients and carriers in advance for renewal deliverables and requests.
  • Implementation: Oversee implementation between carriers, vendors, and the client. Proactively address issues or concerns and act as the primary liaison to provide a positive experience for the client.
  • Enrollment: Account Managers are responsible for coordinating components of the renewal process; this includes educational materials, education methods (meetings, videos, coordinating onsite counselors), and enrollment process (technology system or enrollment forms). After the completion of Open Enrollment, Account Managers are responsible for obtaining enrollment information and submitting it to the carrier accurately and timely.
  • Compliance: Work with Consultants to provide clients with consultative advice on Employee Benefits requirements under ERISA and other applicable federal and state laws. Account Managers provide clients with reminders each year of the compliance deadlines and requirements they have. Proactively conduct annual compliance audits and assist with sourcing vendors and third parties to assist with compliance needs on an as-needed basis.
  • Technology: Determine the technology needs of clients and provide solutions that best fit their needs and benefit plan offerings. Work with vendors to implement technology successfully.
  • System Management: Effectively and accurately document all activities and correspondence within the EPIC system per the agency workflow.
  • Benefits Team: Actively participate in internal meetings, and contribute appropriately in a collaborative manner. Communicate thoroughly and clearly with all team members concerning workflows and projects. Exhibit behavior with team, vendors, carriers, and clients that intentionally advances our culture.
  • Travel: DFW and Lubbock area. (10-20%, mostly during OE period)
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Group Benefits either working on the agency side or the carrier side required
  • TX Life & Health license required
  • Experience with Self-Funded Health Plans preferred
  • Experience with small-group and middle-market accounts required
  • Knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
