**Job Overview:** As Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service.

**You Will Be Responsible For:**

* Preparing all food items according to designated recipes and quality standards

* Maintaining cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times

* Managing orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

* Ensuring knowledge of menu and all food products

* Stocking and maintaining designated food station(s)

* Visually inspecting all food sent from the kitchen

* Practicing correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations

* Preparing requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed

**You Will Bring To The Table:**

* Strong working knowledge of the fundamentals of the broiler, saute, fry, roast, moist heat and other cooking methods

* Strong working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation

* Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, etc.

* Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes.

* Ability to stand and to work continuously in confined spaces.

* Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.

* Must be willing to pitch-in and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player

* Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery

* Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
