JOB SUMMARY

As the Co-Manufacturing Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of co-manufacturing contracts for the company. Co-manufacturing involves partnering with external manufacturers to produce products on behalf of the company. Your primary role will be to source, negotiate, draft, and execute contracts with co-manufacturers, ensuring that all parties adhere to the agreed-upon terms and conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of contract law, supply chain management, and effective communication skills to foster successful partnerships.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Leads negotiation of contract terms, including production volumes, pricing, quality standards, delivery schedules, and other relevant clauses to safeguard the interests of the company.
  • Prepare comprehensive and legally binding contracts that clearly outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both parties involved in the co-manufacturing arrangement. Ensure that contracts comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze co-manufacturing contracts received from external manufacturers and make necessary recommendations to management for approval or modification.
  • Work closely with the sourcing and procurement teams to identify potential co-manufacturing partners based on their capabilities, capacity, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Regularly track and evaluate the performance of co-manufacturing partners, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. Manage profit & loss for all contract manufacturers.
  • Utilize ERP system and optimize replenishment processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction in the co-manufacturing process, fostering continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, quality assurance, logistics, finance, and legal teams, to ensure seamless execution of co-manufacturing contracts.
  • Mediate and resolve any disputes or conflicts that may arise during the co-manufacturing process. Work to find mutually beneficial solutions that align with both parties' interests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Law, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • 5+ years' experience in contract management, negotiations, supply chain management, or vendor management, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to create clear and comprehensive contractual agreements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Hires and trains departmental staff.
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow and schedules of assigned staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Oversees discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Law, or a related field is a plus.
