This role is a full-time, exempt opportunity reporting to the Director of People.

This role blends human resource management with custodial operations management duties. The right candidate is ambitious, enthusiastic, fluent in Spanish and English, and has a deep comprehension of custodial operational management. The successful candidate does understand California employment regulations and enjoys supporting a diverse workforce. This role requires an onsite presence in Santa Clara and a valid driver's license. This role maintains responsibility for the daily functions of employee relations including recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding, and off-boarding, training, enforcing company policies and practices.

This individual will also help with some site custodial projects on a need basis.

Occasionally, this role supports custodial projects at our client sites. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

- Training and Development.

Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, certifications, and training on custodial equipment and materials handling safety. - Recruitment and On/Off Boarding.

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Manages the interactive process of investigations and ensures compliance with employment separations and documentation. - Employee Relations.

Fosters positive relationships among custodial workforce, supervisors, and managers while contributing to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. - Labor Relations.

Acts as a liaison with workforce and union representatives. Understands the value of formative relationships and compliance with governing documentation, laws, and regulations.

Recommends best practices while reviewing existing practices and policies for compliance. - Site Management.

As needed, manages custodial projects at the client sites. - Performs other duties as assigned. Exempt position with a salary range of $67,000 to $79,000 annually, based on experience and expertise. Preferred Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Spanish. - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. - Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. - Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. - Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s employee management and talent management systems. Education and Experience:

- An associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required. - At least five years of custodial operational management in the commercial real estate industry preferred. Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. - Must be able to physically attend client site meetings. - Must be onsite to conduct employee trainings in English and in Spanish.
