Schedule: Full Time Shift : Days Location: AdventHealth Hendersonville Staffing NEW Outpatient Surgery Center -start date 11/2024 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Hendersonville · Convenient access, with locations across Western North Carolina · Beautiful mountain scenery · Plentiful opportunities for outdoor adventurers, including hiking, zip lining and white-water rafting. · Historic towns and cities full of specialty shops, art galleries and unique restaurants · Fresh produce available at farmers’ markets and U-picks · Special events to enjoy in every season The role you’ll contribute: In addition to responsibilities of Sterile Processing Technician I: Responsible for decontamination, operation of steam and other forms of sterilization as well as all monitoring processes included with same. Serves as a subject matter/content expert for a particular process or area and a preceptor for new employees and learners. Use chemicals and appropriate PPE as established protocols and procedures. Maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment. Performs multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units in all locations/sites, as well as being responsible for customer service. The value you’ll bring to the team: · Appropriately prepares, cleans, and disinfects instruments and equipment. · Inspects all instruments and equipment for unacceptable conditions. · Prepares instruments and equipment for sterilization by assembling correct item and quantity. · Assist in pulling required trays and supplies for surgical cases. · Maintain cleanliness and proper order in the work area. · Maintains required records on sterilization. · Proficient use of all equipment. · Assures the effectiveness of the sterilization procedures are performed. · Demonstrates dependability and flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department.
