Lean-Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionResponsible for leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across the company utilizing Lean methodologies and overseeing the dealership warranty administration team. The role involves analyzing and optimizing processes, reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall productivity. The Lean Manager works closely with various departments to implement Lean tools and techniques, ensuring the company operates at its highest efficiency while maintaining quality standards. This includes the coordination of SOP development to support operational excellence and delivering on established benchmarks and value targets. This position will support strategic initiatives from a customer back approach by working closely with all departments to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies to address them, and implement holistic solutions that enhance overall performance. Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee company-wide continuous improvement (CI) efforts focusing on enhancing safety, improving throughput and quality, reducing operational costs, eliminating waste, and driving profitable growth.Lead CI initiatives with a holistic perspective to drive consistency and optimization across multiple business verticals.Develop and implement Lean strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives.Work cross-departmentally to identify areas of inefficiency and recommend Lean solutions.Lead sponsored CI initiatives using proven Lean principles, methodologies, and tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SIPOC, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)Support departmental continuous improvement projects from inception to completion.Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement concepts and tools.Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of improvement efforts.Collaborate with management to integrate a Lean principles and continuous improvement into the company culture.Deliver on dealership warranty expectations and performance metrics.Conduct regular departmental warranty reviews on performance, claims, resubmittal rates, and costs.Manage internal warranty department budget.Manage stakeholder communications and expectations at all levels throughout projects.Identify operational trends and patterns through data and metric analysis and share insights with key stakeholders.Performs all other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or related field.Certification(s) and demonstrated experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Proven experience in a continuous improvement role.Proficient in analytical and critical thinking skills with abilities to think holistically.Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including change management.Ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams.Working knowledge of MS Office productsExperience with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.Proven organizational skills with an eye for detail.Creative and critical thinker with experience in developing innovative ideas and approaches.Unwavering commitment to working safely.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
