Requirement: Data Engineer
Job Description: Forge requires a Data Engineer to join our team supporting the U.S. Army. This individual will build data ingress and egress pipelines to share data with our data interface partners using a combination of APIs and SFTP methods both synchronously and in batch. This candidate will implement pipelines and transformations using a combination of AWS and Python technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):
- Develop data transformation microservices
- Create ingress and egress data pipelines to interface with other DOD systems
- Migrate historical data to modern data formats
- Develop APIs between services
- Maintain interface definition documentation
- Maintain Active Security Clearance
The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

- Three years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
- Experience with Jira Software and AWS
