Sr. Cybersecurity Specialist
This is a HYBRID REMOTE position.

Provides cybersecurity subject matter expertise to the MAA and MA Program Office.

In this role you will….

  • Participate in the pre- assessment coordination, MAA onsite, report development and Mission Assurance protection program related request for information.
  • Must have familiarity with Mission Assurance/cybersecurity applicable policy, standards, and benchmarks.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance requirement.
  • Provide technical support to the cybersecurity FRCS program.
  • Conduct field surveys of the utility Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS) for the Marine Corps installations under Section 6.0 to identify both physical and logical (e.g., electronic data, wired, wireless, etc.) security weaknesses and provide recommendations to correct the issues.
  • Analyze the Cybersecurity posture of FRCS to ensure compliance with DoD Cybersecurity standards and military mission requirements including possible mission impact of failed or compromised control systems.
  • Support Mission Focused Cyber Hardening assessment collaboration and documentation for cyber related exploits to identified weapon systems.
  • Collect and analyze Mission Relevant Terrain in Cyber Space (MRTC) Cybersecurity and network data relating to control systems to identify potential system deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
  • Document, collect, and map detailed dependency linkages of control system and cyber vulnerabilities to each supporting facility that could impact TCAs and Supporting Infrastructure Critical Assets (SICA).
Experience Requirements:
  • Ten (10) years of Marine Corps experience in cybersecurity field and mission planning, activeduty, civilian or contractor
  • Five (5) years of experience executing higher headquarters MA program reviews and installation level MA assessments
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Technology
  • Master of Science in Information Assurance preferred
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to attain TS SCI level clearance.
Other Requirements:
  • Required travel minimum 50% of the time
  • May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
  • Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
This position is contingent on funding.
