JOB SUMMARY:

The SAFe Platform Product Manager position focuses on delivering meaningful product solutions and customer experiences that improve patient outcomes, drive business value, and increase efficiency. Responsible for shaping and managing the overall digital program portfolio, strategy, roadmap, and vision related to the technology used by our internal partners and external customers through the use of design thinking, market assessments, customer research and business case development. Works with Product Owners and Agile development teams to share customer expectations and drive product vision through defined features in the program backlog. This role will evaluate features and functionality of work to ensure product releases are satisfied. Engages with leadership, key stakeholders, customers, system architect, product owners, and product development teams to ensure alignment with product vision and roadmaps to advance Midmark technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

As our SAFe Commercial Operations Product Manager, you're not just overseeing tasks-you're pioneering a roadmap that merges healthcare and technology. Here's how you'll contribute:
  • Shape the Digital Journey
    • Responsible for the Epic and Feature backlog of multiple agile software delivery teams from ideation through business case development to product realization
    • Reviews and accepts EPICs and Features as complete by the development team
    • Creates and manages Epics and features, including benefit hypothesis and identifying metrics towards delivering value
  • Set the Course
    • Creates, maintains, and communicates the product strategy, vision, roadmap, and program backlog to software delivery teams, senior leadership, and executive management
    • Creates, maintains, and communicates the stakeholder value streams and utilize the streams to discover opportunities to create new end user value
    • Creates and maintains process flows, UML diagrams, and defines user acceptance tests
    • Creates and manages charters within the OKR System
    • Determines minimally viable features to be released to customers with an eye towards continuous value creation
  • Be the Market Whisperer
    • Identifies market needs through collaboration with leadership, strategic partners, and customers
  • Data Meets Empathy
    • Creates and maintains the economic models and metrics to ensure the solution(s) are creating the right value for the stakeholders
    • Works with customers to understand needs and participates in customer experience strategies to ensure a customer centric experience within the product solutions
  • Financial Stewardship
    • Maintains and forecasts the budget for the agile teams within the program
  • Team Collaborator
    • Collaborates with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and other Agile teammates to build the right solutions and prioritize non-user features such as architecture runway and non-functional requirements
  • Lead the Way
    • Fosters a culture of modern software delivery methodologies. Coaches and mentors others on modern software delivery practices and Agile principles
SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure Midmark's technology solutions are well-aligned and prioritized to continuously evolving business, market and customer needs
  • Works closely with business development in the review and due diligence of business opportunities, such as partnerships or acquisitions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required, MBA or MS preferred. 3 years of Scrum Master or Product Owner experience or experience in Commercial roles such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. 5 years of related work experience in Agile product development. Related business and requirements management in digital system development and/or project/product management. SAFe product manager certification preferred. First or Second level Scrum Product Owner Certification (PSPO I/II) preferred.

COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strategic Thinker: Proven experience creating and maintaining digital rich product roadmaps and program backlogs

  • People Skills: Strong consultative, listening, communication and analytical skills
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated experience translating business, stakeholder and customer needs and advocacy into products and/or solutions
  • Communication Pro: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership
