The Accounting Services Manager is responsible for planning and managing engagement teams to successfully ensure client accounting projects are completed on schedule, within scope/budget and within the firm's quality standards.

Responsibilities

Manage the engagement and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements Supervise team of accountants and disperse work based on capacity and skill sets

Lead the onboarding of new clients and new client engagements Identify, research and resolve accounting technical issues impacting the engagement Assist with preparing and delivering proposals and fee estimates Manage and develop staff by providing training and constructive performance feedback Perform some accounting and closing of client books outside of review duties Review relevant work papers and account reconciliations Prepare and/or review work papers and financial statements Review all compiled financial statements and corresponding workpapers assuring adherence to GAAP or income tax basis principles Assist clients on projects

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

Multiple industry environment audit and accounting experience preferred (ie. government, commercial, manufacturing, non-profit, construction, real estate, etc.). Government exposure highly desirable

CPA certificate (active preferred)

Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop

Strong supervisory and people skills and ability to successfully interact with staff and client's top executives

Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, detail orientation and organizational skills are a must Must reside in Twin Cities (after an initial training period, a hybrid schedule is an option)
