**Essential Responsibilities:**

* Model and promote organizational values

* Guide, train, and direct business partners and associates on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and corporate compliance

* Conduct effective ER investigations, analyze organizational health issues, and work in partnership with the Business Leaders and Human Resources Manager to develop and execute plans to address problem areas

* Support HR/ER strategy/process for open door related concerns

* Actively recruit in the local market to identify strong performers for hourly positions in the Location

* Lead and guide the new hire and onboarding process for the Location

* Act as a trusted resource to managers and associates on a wide variety of human resource topics and guide employees to people, tools, and resources

* Assist in implementing the organizations performance management process through coaching, educating, and providing feedback

* Proactively provide HR team with support as needed on key initiatives

* Perform additional duties, projects, etc. as necessary

* Demonstrated track record of HR-related, and improved measurable results

* Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management

* Demonstrated ability to influence and coach others, with appropriate self-confidence and presence

* Excellent prioritization, time management, organizational, and follow up skills

* Ability to maximize partnerships by successfully leveraging other functions as necessary

* Think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

**Education / Experience**

* College degree preferred, with an emphasis in Human Resources

* 2-3 years generalist experience in Human Resources, **preferably in a Retail Environment.**

* First-hand responsibility for and exposure to recruitment, benefits, training, employee relations, and performance management

* Familiar with federal, state, and local labor regulations

* Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends
