Senior Accountant

Position Overview:

Our client has a need for assistance due to the current workload.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of Senior Accountant role are:

Recording journal entries (ACH cash/wire receipts/disbursements, allocate health expenses to various divisions, etc.)

Preparing ledger account reconciliations

Recording and reconciling elimination entries

Senior Accountant will work with a high volume of data with the above tasks - so this person must be comfortable with Excel

Ad hoc tasks and projects as requested

Requirements:

5+ years of experience required for Senior Accountant role to have a strong understanding of reconciliations and journal entries

Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related

Senior Accountant should have strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)

Previous real estate or construction experience is helpful but NOT required

Technology savvy to pick up new software quickly with training

Personality Fit:

Senior Accountant should have a positive attitude

If there is something you don't understand, ask questions immediately

Proactive and clear communication skills are important to this role

Resourceful, problem-solver who enjoys figuring things out

Flexible

Hard working

Highly organized and detail oriented

Takes initiative

Sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Senior Accountant should be able to work in a high-volume environment
