Our integrated project approach includes self-performing concrete placement, steel erection, carpentry, equipment setting, millwrighting, pipefitting, sheet metal, electrical & instrumentation services and servicing the completed building.

**Summary:**As a Jr. Buyer you will work in a team environment in which you learn buying life cycle for procurement of equipment, products, and materials; processes; tracking; terminology; negotiating; pricing; and best practices. You will be responsible for document controls, tracking, following up on purchases and answering delivery questions. You will work closely with buyers, engineering, estimators, project management, and the field to coordinate jobsite deliveries. The Junior (Jr.) Buyer is the first phase to become a Buyer with one to five years timeline.

**What You Will Be Doing:**

* Assist Buyers and Sr Buyers to ensure they have sufficient and accurate information to place and order with the supplier

* Communicate delivery of equipment, products and materials to field, project management and shops

* Work closely with buyers, project management and other departments to ensure timely deliveries

* Provide support with issuing purchase orders to vendors ensuring accuracy and PO documentation completeness

* Assist with tracking quotes for bid and review spreadsheet analysis

* Assist with contacting suppliers for adjustments involving replacement or return of material or equipment due to non-conformance, defect, cancellation of order or price variation.

* Help Accounts Payable resolve invoice and delivery discrepancies associated with purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services

* Manage document control, including Submittals and O&M Manuals as requested

* Perform additional tasks as requested

* Including shop and field craft personnel; and supervision coworkers

* Maintain proactive and positive relationships with:

+ Customer representatives

+ Vendors, Suppliers and Subcontractors

+ Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, and IT

**What You Need To Be Part Of Our All-Star Team****:**

Education/Experience:

* BS or BA degree with emphasis on Construction Management, Engineering, Business or other applicable degree

* Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices is a plus

* Knowledge of purchasing and contract laws, and regulations is a plus

* Good understanding and working knowledge of e-mail, spreadsheet, and word processing software programs

* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other industry standard programs
