RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Project SpecificRoutinely visit project sites and perform secondary audits to ensure safety standards are met. Regularly attend project safety meetings. Assist in procurement of the required documentation to the site as needed. Assist in procurement of the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to the site as needed. May be required to be on site safety for short periods of time until permanent personnel can be established. Administrative ManagementManage safety document control. Assist project management with project specific safety needs. Assist business development with upcoming project needs. Develop site specific safety plans. TrainingConduct and/or facilitate any safety training or retraining needed. Maintain safety instructor certifications for required training. Ensure all onboarding meets safety training needs as outlined in the safety training matrix. Maintain all safety record keeping for the assigned region. Assist with Branch Safety Manager training. FleetEnsure our fleet stays within both company and AHJ standards. Ensure all drivers maintain documentation reporting standards. Assist with any vehicle issues, transfers or upgrades. Maintain branch fleet records and report them to the Corporate Fleet Manager as required. Public RelationsDevelop relationships with your local safety alliance groups to grow your knowledge of the market as well the other trades and gain a better understanding of the challenges we will face. Develop relationships with our vendors. Maintain a good standing in the company Safety Committee and get to know your fellow Safety Managers throughout the company. SCOPE OF AUTHORITYThis position has full authority to implement the decisions and policy directives of the Regional Director (RD), Assistant Safety Director (ASD) and the Director of Safety (DS) as well as to direct and monitor the safety activities of all projects in the assigned region. QUALIFICATIONS5-10+ years safety management experience, preferably industrial electrical safety. A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field or relevant work experience In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards Strong interpersonal skills Ability to lead and teach a team Great attention to detail Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms Excellent organizational skills Kavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
