EPSI Worx is looking for a Lead Banquet Waitstaff member toprovide exceptional guest service during banquet and catering events. This rolerequires strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee and coordinatethe activities of the banquet wait staff team. The Lead Banquet Wait Staff willensure that all aspects of banquet service, from setup to breakdown, areexecuted efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to a memorableand enjoyable dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate banquet wait staff to maintain high professionalism and service excellence.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to banquet wait staff, ensuring optimal coverage and efficient service.
- Lead by example and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment within the team.
- Collaborate with the Lead Manager to plan and execute events, including menu details, seating arrangements, and special guest requests.
- Assist in setting up banquet rooms, ensuring that tables, chairs, linens, and tableware are arranged according to event specifications.
- Oversee the proper handling and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring they are served at the correct temperature and in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
- Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs and promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor and act as a point of contact for guest inquiries and requests.
- Ensure all guest dietary restrictions and allergies are communicated to the kitchen staff and accommodated during service.
- Monitor the banquet room throughout the event to ensure that tables are clean, settings are correct, and service is seamless.
- Address any service issues promptly and communicate with the Banquet Manager as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain clear and open communication with the Lead Manager, kitchen staff, and other relevant departments to ensure the smooth flow of events.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving service quality and efficient.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years Waitstaff or Supervisory required
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings.
