Role Summary:

URBN is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Companys Finance and Supply Chain Operational teams. This role will support the Nuuly rental segment by partnering with its Supply Chain Warehouse Operations teams to provide sound analytics and financial schedules while measuring and tracking ongoing operations and new initiatives. The role also supports the monthly financial-close process of all warehouse-related areas. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop and maintain working relationships with members of the Nuuly Operational and Finance teams as well as all Supply Chain Support teams, Corporate and other Shared Service teams throughout the organization.

Ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a desire to understand broader concepts and principles as it relates to Supply Chain operational decisions, outcomes, and related financial impact. Must be able to work in a high-demand environment, work independently to meet deadlines and complete various projects/tasks as assigned. This individual is expected to be a self-starter, resourceful and process-improvement oriented.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and own the creation, consolidation, and analysis of Nuulys two fulfillment center P&Ls.
  • Partner with Operations/Engineering/Planning teams to appropriately categorize labor and unit volume and explain detailed CPU/UPH impacts from a growing and more automated business.
  • Monitor all supply purchases and usage for proper P&L and balance sheet amortization while also reporting on volume, rate, and mix analyses.
  • Track all other operating/capital expenses in a detailed manner via cost-tagging procedures.
  • Analyze results, investigate, and explain variances vs budget, previous year and trends while also understanding the differences between both fulfillment centers operations.
  • Perform month-end accounting procedures inclusive of journal entries and balance sheet recs.
  • Create and own the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for all areas; ensure understanding of business to identify areas of risk & opportunity and summarize accordingly.
  • Support distribution of valuable weekly financial labor reporting/KPIs for all North America distribution and fulfillment centers by partnering with multiple operational teams.
  • Audit and monitor Supply Chain and financial information systems to support financial analyses.
  • Ensure full understanding of Nuuly business by partnering with key members of the brand.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by Supply Chain, Brand and Corporate Finance.
Role Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
  • Knowledge & familiarity with distribution, transportation & manufacturing operations required.
  • Knowledge & familiarity with subscription-based rental operation required.
  • Experience in financial modeling and application of budgeting techniques required.
  • Journal entry experience, variation analysis, and other related P&L/BS reporting is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively interpret financial results and derive alternative insights.
  • Excellent skills in MSOffice Excel and PowerPoint most heavily used.
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal) with ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; critical thinker.
