A Talascend client in Montgomery, AL has an immediate need for CNC Machinists for their 2nd shift.

Second shift hours are 2:30pm to 11pm

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • 5+ years of experience with manual and CNC machines, multi-axis preferred.
  • Competency in Machining Skills
  • Fixturing
  • Chucking
  • Work holding
  • Programming preferred
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Dependable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run Standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines
  • Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems
  • Change perishable tooling when required
  • Install new tool holders
  • Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines
  • Following inspection plans to inspect parts
  • Communicate to co-workers on status of cell operations
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Troubleshoot tooling as required
  • Work holding (fixturing chucking)
  • Perform basic programming on machines
