Job Details Job Details: We are searching for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Director of Events to join our hospitality team. This role involves leading, planning, and executing a wide range of events from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and will be able to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is looking to enhance their career and make a significant impact on our organization. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all event planning and coordination, including budgeting, logistics, scheduling, and post-event evaluations. Develop and implement event strategy and objectives, ensuring they align with the organization's overall business goals. Lead and direct all event staff, providing clear communication and guidance to ensure the successful execution of events. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality services at the most cost-effective prices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event activities with marketing, sales, and other business objectives. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices, implementing new and innovative strategies to enhance guest experiences. Implement risk management and crisis response plans to ensure the safety and well-being of all event attendees. Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise. Evaluate event outcomes based on key performance indicators and use this information to improve future events. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning or management, preferably within the hospitality industry. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. Proficiency in event planning software and other relevant technology. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) or similar certification is a plus. Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed to oversee events. Interested in hearing more?
