Stable high-technology company Fun-loving team members Close to BART and light rail Proud to be 100% vaccinated Position Summary : Optimize critical material manufacturing process to produce defect-free material Improve material manufacturing processes Determine critical process variations and implement controls Improve process by analyzing related yields Use statistical tools to determine and optimize process capabilities Assure product and process quality by designing appropriate test methods Conduct engineering studies (including failure analysis) and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Provide hands-on technical support to production Train others on proper equipment setup and operation Generate and update work instructions Work with suppliers to ensure material-related issues are resolved Job Requirements: Education:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics Experience:

Some industry experience a plus General Requirements: Solid understanding of the theories and applications of materials properties, metallurgy, metrology, and thermodynamics Skilled in appropriate and accurate use of measurement toolsets (e.g., force gauge, caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, reticle, toolmakers microscope) Logical problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in project management Detail-oriented Fast learner, self-motivated, and accomplishment driven Skilled in use of MS Office computer applications Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report Physical Attributes Required: Sitting, standing, walking, and computer use up to 8 hours/day Physical ability to lift 25+ pounds Employees Enjoy: 9/80 Work Schedule (every other Friday off) Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance FSA (Flexible Spending Account) Life Insurance and Long-term Disability Paid Holidays & PTO 401(k) Profit Sharing
