PURPOSE OR FUNCTION OF JOB:

Evangelism, messaging and content development for Citizen Systems printer products and technologies. Developing innovative and timely content for clear sales ready messaging to the sales force and customer base. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

MARKETING DUTIES:

Within the general scope of this position the following will be the primary marketing duties:

General marketing functions including product marketing, collaterals, ad work and press placements

Functionally contribute to the Citizen Systems America social media efforts and digital footprint, including but not limited to Linked-In, Twitter and Instagram. This will include developing the content for posting and knowing the strict branding guidelines to do so.

Channel marketing function including but not limited to Distribution marketing activities/deliverables, Alliance marketing and VAR (Value Added Reseller) marketing activity.

Full management of events and coordination/management of exhibitions. This includes but is not limited to tradeshows, partner conferences and general customer facing events.

Web site maintenance and updating of Product Information Module (PIM) and press content.

Competitive analysis and white paper/case study projects as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with all needed internal departments to create and implement sales strategy and marketing plans.

Expected to manage, coordinate and attend assigned trade shows. Including set-up and tear-down.

Determine before show(s) the required demonstration formats, products and needed supporting show peripherals. Work with Sales Engineering and Tech Support to stage and ship all show demos.

Maintain and evangelize an annual events calendar.

Maintain and provide content to all social media outlets, working in conjunction with Citizen Europe for one global look.

Assist in development of visual ad campaigns for magazines and electronic circulations.

Become a subject matter expert on all Citizen products and create sales ready messaging for use by the sales organization.

Train partner accounts (in support of sales team) on products in an effort to generate sales activity through product /brand awareness.

Constant communication to VP or Director on accounts information, market information and competitor information weekly or as often as necessary.

Target marketing for revenue generation with DMARS, including but not limited to; floor days, rebate/SPIFF activity and general line of site efforts to increase brand pull.

Maintain best in class relationships with VAR, distributor, Alliance and Key account personnel that you may support.

Update Citizen Systems web site as needed, specifically updating content and correcting errors.

Expected to attend mid-year and annual sales meetings and any weekly phone conference meetings.

Any other duties as assigned by Vice President.

Travel will vary but may be up to 40% as necessary to support company goals. Expected to average roughly 25%. International travel may be required.

Other duties to be assigned and clarified as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MUST BE A LOCAL LOS ANGELES, CA RESIDENT WITHIN MAX 30 MILES OF 90501 ZIP CODE

Must be a US citizen.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Education: Bachelors Degree from accredited school required.

Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion, and address sales/marketing opportunities by building key customer relationships.

Solid business acumen including excellent and persuasive business communication.

Ability to develop ad content or social media content or work with 3rd party to do so.

Previous web-site management a plus.

Computer Skills: proficiency in business & presentation software (MS Outlook, Office Word/Excel/Powerpoint).

Ability to drive a rental or personal vehicle in a safe manner while on company business, to daily meetings and appointments.
