Field Applications Engineer

Field Applications Engineer Commercial Group Location: Houston, TX (preferred). Austin, TX may be considered; however, this option requires travel to Houston once per week. Overview The Commercial Group at Amphenol designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat?ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. The primary end markets for the Companys products are communications and information processing, cable television, cellular telephone, data communication, storage, aerospace and military electronics, automotive, rail, and other transportation and industrial applications. Responsibilities Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle: discovery, design, prototyping, and production. Providing technical marketing support for product development and design, including internal/external power, memory, storage, and internal I/O. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers. Develop customer?facing material that is application specific. Provide customer support for all technical inquiries and deliver product solutions to address concerns. Help devise strategies to differentiate Amphenols products and solutions from competitors. Meet and exceed strategic objectives. Travel as required to other customer or Amphenol locations in the US or Taiwan. Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or other technical equivalent. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred. 2+ years experience in design or applications engineering of electrical hardware components / interconnect solutions industry. Experience providing product marketing and technical support to achieve design wins. Skills Proficient in communicating across organizational hierarchies. High level of customer service; ability to build rapport with customers. Proficient use of modeling tools such as Creo or Solid Works. Strong organizational and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint). Strong program / project management capabilities. Other Information Wage: Depends on Experience. Full?time position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
