Job Title: Manufacturing Test EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manufacturing Test Engineer to support PCBA test and debug operations at a Contract Manufacturer (CM) in Carson City, NV. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in functional testing, diagnosing nonconformance's, and coordinating PCBA rework. This role requires up to 25% travel and involves training staff at the CM on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs.ResponsibilitiesSupport PCBA test and debug at a CM in Carson City, NV.Program and execute functional testing of PCBAs.Diagnose nonconformance's identified during testing of PCBAs.Document nonconformance's and defects for communication back to the PCBA manufacturing team and CM.Coordinate PCBA rework to repair defects.Deploy functional testing and PCBA debug at the CM.Support electrical debug of PCBAs at the CM.Train staff at the CM on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs.Essential SkillsExperience in PCBA test, debug, and electrical debug.Proficiency in nonconformance testing and working with microprocessors, FPGAs, and power supplies.Strong skills in programming, particularly in Python and MATLAB.Experience with manufacturing test solutions, particularly in electronics or PCBs.Knowledge of IPC 620 standards and RF test and debug.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.5+ years of experience with debugging PCBA designs that include microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and/or sensors.Experience with circuit-level debug to the component level.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience delivering test solutions to manufacturing facilities.Expertise in developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies for electrical subassemblies.IPC-A-610 certification or familiarity.Experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging RF electronics.Programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.Experience writing software to control test equipment and devices under test (DUTs) using standard software tools.Experience designing PCBAs of medium-to-high complexity.Work EnvironmentThis role requires up to 25% travel to Carson City, NV. Candidates may either reside in Redmond and travel to Carson City as needed or live in Nevada and work at the CM in Carson City. The work environment involves a combination of office settings and hands-on work at the manufacturing site.
