The Job: Greets and checks in patients.Assists patients in filling out patient forms.Answers phones, takes messages, routes calls when necessary.Develops patient charts.Enters pertinent information into patient charts.Schedules patient appointments and testing. Collects co-payments from patients.Performs general office duties.Respects and maintains confidentiality.Works in a safe, HIPAA compliant and ethical manner at all times.Other duties as assigned. The Requirements:A minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Post high school coursework in Medical Terminology and/or Office Assistant is appropriate.Must have a working knowledge of medical terms and health insurance.Must possess strong desktop computer skills.Experience with EPIC is preferred.Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
