Our Client is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The TechnicalSales Manager is focused on optimizing revenue and meeting sales targets. This role requires managing a portfolio of accounts within a designated market, leveraging effective communication on technicaltopics, and deploying sales strategies. An understanding of the nuclear industry is essential for this position. The Technical Sales Manager will work collaboratively with the team to drive customer engagement, foster relationships, and optimize sales processes. The position may evolve intosupervising and coaching other Sales Managers to ensure cohesive and efficient team operations.
Required Skills & Experience
Knowledge and ability to utilizeSalesForce or CRMfor client management and sales tracking
Strong Knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Understanding of radiation detection fundamentals of the nuclear industry as a whole
Ability to quickly develop thorough knowledge of equipment and customer applications in order to recommend solutions; ability to operate and demonstrate equipment
Ability to collaborate and form relationships with team members of other departments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in technical area preferred, or equivalent experience
Three or more years' prior sales experience, preferably in a technical field
Ability to manage, strategize, and coordinate sales activities
Understanding of government and common commercial procurement processes
Strong focus and drive to close opportunities, win deals, grow the business
Ability to apply fundamental and technical sales skills
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met consistently.
Sales Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed established targets, contributing to overall revenue goals.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide effective feedback to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Voice of customer: Regularly communicate customer feedback internally, fostering a customer-centric culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Sales Process Optimization: Continuously review and enhance sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Performance Metrics Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators to assess team and individual performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Training and Development: Participate in and lead training sessions for the sales team, ensuring continuous skill development and product knowledge.
Market Research: Conduct periodic market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges. Share findings with marketing to develop lead generation strategies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities (thru CRM process), preparing regular reports for management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, application support group, customer support and others to ensure alignment in overall business objectives.
Workshop Participation: Participate in relevant committees or working groups to contribute insights and coordinate efforts across the organization. improvement initiatives across the organization
