Primary Responsibilities:

Hexagon US Federal is seeking a TS/SCI Facility Security Officer (FSO) to work in our Huntsville, AL facility. This position will report to the Corporate Facility Officer/Directory of Security in the implementation of the industrial security program and ensuring company, project, and customer security requirements are met. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and work with minimal direction both independently and as part of a team. The candidate will work with senior leaders, project leads, contracts personnel, and others within the organization in the support of facility, contract, and personnel security needs.

Specific duties include:
    • Interpreting and applying security principles, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance with mission-sponsor and physical security regulations and policies, including Program Classification Guides; DCSA security requirements; Intelligence Community Directives; applicable laws, policies, and regulations regarding export-controlled information and technology; 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule and Industrial Security Letters; and other government regulations, e.g., Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07 Vols 1-4, Intelligence Community Directives, DoD-M 5105.21 M1, and various customer security manuals.
    • Interfacing with all levels of company and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.
    • Conducting security self-inspections, applying risk mitigation methodologies, supporting customer assessments, and implementing security measures to meet requirements.
    • Possessing the ability and confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contracts and implementing security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.
    • Administering day-to-day security programs, badging, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits and self-inspections, violation investigations and reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit requests for the facilities to include a SCIF and Open Storage areas.
Desired Competencies:
    • Critical Thinking: Must have experience gathering information, objectively analyzing it, and drawing conclusions while focusing on comprehension of policies, regulations and standards.
    • Judgement and Decision: Ability to assess situations and information and reach sound conclusions in atypical situations.
    • Compliance-minded: Has experience with applicable policies, standards, laws, and rules, to include interpreting and applying against customer requirements to resolve security issues.
    • Clear Communication: Can write and speak in a clear, concise, effective manner to a wide variety of audiences, including writing complex reports and displaying active listening skills.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Proven track record as a self-starter and experience building partnerships while understanding customers mission, vision, and issues and prioritizing work accordingly.
Required Experience:
    • Candidate must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
    • 3-4 years of relevant experience required
    • Certification as a Facility Security Officer and experience in secure facility administration policies and procedures
    • Thorough understanding of DoD and IC physical and personnel security requirements and ability to apply Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and NISPOM guidance to the facility's security plans and procedures
    • Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations
Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in SCIF and Open Storage (Closed Area) operations and management
    • Experience with Co-use and Dual-use facility requirements, policies, and procedures
    • Experience with COMSEC
    • Experience with preparing subcontract DD254s for assigned classified contracts
    • Experience developing and implementing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency action plans
    • Experience or familiar with these various government and customer systems: DISS, NBIS, SWFT, eAPP, eNOM, ACCS and NISS,
