Job Purpose:

The Manager, Registration and Scheduling is responsible for the leadership of the Registration and Scheduling team and daily operations and workflow including performance reviews, coaching and development of staff, implementing strategic plans for the team. Responsible for department design, quality of work, HR related activities including hiring, budget completion, and training and coaching employees.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•Aligns work of departments with overall strategic goals of the organization utilizing teams' strength to effectively and efficiently deliver on key metrics contributing to organizational success

•Directly manages all Central Scheduling and Patient Service Representative team members. Provides guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for staff. Oversees performance review process; recommends salary administration including raises, promotions, and reclassifications. Provides counseling and corrective actions as necessary. Communicates program priorities and performance standards

•Oversees daily call volume within Central Scheduling and Patient Service Representative departments and staff according to historical demand adjust schedules and staffing volumes as needed to support growth

•Collaborates across departments to ensure patient calls are directed effectively

•Ensures routine direction, education, and training are offered to staff to ensure department and organizational performance standards are met

•Assists with creating providers scheduling templates

•Performs quality control on patient calls to ensure service standards are maintained and seeks opportunities to improve patient experience

Education and Experience Requirements:

•High School Diploma or equivalent.

•A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks

•A minimum of one year of experience managing people

•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites

•Expert working knowledge of EMR; basic working knowledge of scheduling platforms

Environmental/Working Conditions:

Working environment is in an office/clinic setting.

Physical/Mental Demands:

•Sit, stand, walk, or otherwise remain stationary for extended periods of time

•Requires lifting, carrying and/or moving objects in a manner consistent with most office environments (generally, no more than 10 pounds on a frequent basis and 20 pounds on an occasional basis)

•Finger dexterity for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse for extended periods of time

•Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close); hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds).
