Reimagine What's Possible Lead Electrical Engineer - Role and Responsibilities:Scope of responsibilities include:Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high voltage distribution equipment and high voltage motors/generatorsRespond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilitiesDirect and lead all aspects of vendor shop repairs on high voltage motors and equipment for quality assuranceIssue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentationIdentify engineered solutions to recurring electrical issuesImprove plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance proceduresLead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA)Implement equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive)Ensure alignment to internal and national standards when specifying and maintaining equipmentReview and approve engineering documents on plant upgrade projectsSupport training, coaching, and mentoring of electrical field technicians and operations staff in safety, preventative maintenance, and operation of electrical systems100 % compliance with Safety and Environmental standardsSupport the maintenance of company electrical safe work practice standards to ensure that they are current with industry standards and recommended best practices.Perform Electrical engineering power systems analysis calculations including, Motor starting/voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash and load flow.Program protective relays with settings developed in systems analysisKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:A minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience is requiredExperience in operations and maintenance of large industrial plants is requiredCombinations of design and operations experience will be consideredExperience in the management of and electrical safety programDetailed knowledge of NFPA 70EIndustry training or certification as safety professionalWorking knowledge of SKM Power Tools for Windows engineering softwareExperience in other software modeling packages such as ETAP will be consideredWorking knowledge of SEL and Multilin protective relaysExperience specifying and working on HV substation equipment, transformers, HV and LV motors and Generators, Motor control circuits, Variable frequency drives, Station Battery, and UPS systemsAbility to travel in North America and Canada, 15%-20%Education and Licensing RequirementsA Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is requiredA PE license is preferred#LI-Hybrid#LI-CH1Air Products proudly values the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans bring to the table.
