An O&G client in Houston, TX is looking for a Senior Facilities Engineer to join their team. This starts out as a long-term contract role with a hybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs in office, Monday & Friday remote). This role will be responsible for supporting the clients US Onshore Assets by providing project planning, execution & coordination for upgrading existing central tank batteries to new emissions standard designs, consolidating mature facilities to centralized facilities, and converting facilities to closed loop/tankless systems. This role will require strong planning and communication skills to coordinate across multiple disciplines to complete projects on time and on budget while meeting project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Application of the client's Engineering & Closed Vent Study (CVS) design standards to ensure proposed facilities or changes to existing facilities are constructed in compliance with both company and regulatory requirements.
  • Working with technical, maintenance and operational personnel to develop strategies for addressing reoccurring design & operational challenges.
  • Development of the Scope of Work (SOW), cost estimate, Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), Project Execution Plans (PEP), and Authorization of Funds Expenditure (AFE) documents necessary to obtain project approvals.
  • Development of construction RFQ packages through coordination with third party engineering firms, construction foreman & operations personnel.
  • Ensure Management of Change (MOC) approvals are identified, coordinated and approved where required based on the Scope of Work to be performed.
  • Coordination of Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR) with engineering, construction & operations personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree within Engineering
  • Upstream O&G experience
  • 10+ years of Facilities Engineering experience
