The Guest Services Associate at Woodward West is responsible for all aspects of guest services. Woodward West provides services for over 3,000 campers and 400+ staff each summer along with varying events throughout the year. The Guest Services Associate will collaborate with a team within guest services and transportation, be a part of a team that manages the camp operating software and maintain a focus on enhancing the guest experience. The Guest Services Associate will ensure that our guests, staff, and campers are being met in a prompt, appropriate and high touch manner.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Guest Services Associate will excel at giving support and communicating effectively to campers and parents using In-Person, Phone, and Email communication.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting in a timely manner to phone and email inquiries.
  • They will lead by example to guests and staff, creating a positive and inspiring environment. Provide general knowledge to understand camp operations.
  • Meet needs of guests, campers, and staff with effective communication, software training and business knowledge
  • Collaborate with Guest Services Leadership
  • Work with all departments as communication deems necessary - Programming, Rec, Medical, Housing, Transportation, etc.
  • Provide a warm and welcome atmosphere for all guests - VIPs, campers, and staff
  • Extensive knowledge in our camp system software
  • Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies
  • Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of management techniques
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must successfully-pass a background screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with Federal, state and local jurisdictions.
  • FBI and DOJ finger printing required
  • Dedicated to being prompt and timely
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 25lbs.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings year-round:
  • Pre-Camp , Summer Camp, Post Camp
  • Summer Camp Season (June 2nd - August 10th)
    • Preferred 10-week commitment within Summer camp season
    • Shoulder season events assigned by Guest Services Supervisor
  • Food: Up to 3 meals per working day are provided as part of employment.
  • Provide work related references upon request.
