Job Description

Responsible for supporting the development and modification of existing Unidata/Pick applications.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor, communicate status, and follow up on Unidata/Pick Applications IS support tickets.
  • Produce necessary documentation, such as process flows and standard work instructions for information systems operations and functional users.
  • Serve as the liaison between the developers and end users to gather information regarding process improvement, and follow up to ensure deployed fixes addressed the initial issue.
  • Perform testing of application programs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Modify or create simple reports and screens needed by the business.
  • Code small routines based on requirements given by the applications programmer.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Associates degree in engineering, computer science or related field; or 4 years applications programming experience with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED; and
  • 1+ years applications programming experience.
  • Ability to effectively express thoughts/ideas through written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department and across the organization.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • A drive to learn and the initiative to complete tasks beyond expectations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
  • Basic understanding of programming methodologies.
