COMPANY BACKGROUND Astro Pak is the leader in providing Passivation, Precision Cleaning and High-Purity Chemical Cleaning services for a wide variety of "cleanliness sensitive" critical systems and components. Many of our customers have external agencies that drive their cleaning requirements, such as the AS9100, FDA, NASA and others. Using state of the art equipment and facilities, Astro Pak services customers across 15 market segments, ranging from Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Laser, Semiconductor, Water Treatment and more, including Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has also performed on-site precision chemical cleaning throughout the United States as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.
POSITION OPPORTUNITY
This position oversees Astro Pak's Florida Cleanroom Operations located in Titusville, Florida, reports to the Vice President of Cleanroom Services and serves as a member of the Cleanroom Services Senior Team. The Director of Operations - Florida Cleanroom is responsible for implementing the strategic plan; overseeing the P&L; leading and developing the operations, shipping and receiving, and production planning teams; creating a culture that delivers a remarkable experience for team members/ customers/ suppliers; and collaborating with Corporate Leadership & Support Teams (Accounting, People and Culture, IT, Quality, and EHS&R) within Astro Pak.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Cultural Champion
Collaborates within the Cleanroom Team and all other Departments to optimize mutual trust and respect
Creates environment where all team members are empowered, energized, and engaged
Develops organizational focus on efficiency, excellence, and exceeding customer expectations
Organizational and Strategic Management
Participates with the Vice President of Cleanroom Services and the Cleanroom Senior Team in development of annual strategic plan and locational plan
Ensures organizational structure is developed & aligned to achieve goals of strategic plan
Develops site management team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Manages teams and champions accountability to the Strategic Plan and Balanced Scorecard
Operations and Production Management
Ensures that all KPI's are met or exceeded - typical KPI's include on-time delivery, turnaround time, first pass yield, and internal/external defects
Manages headcount requirements for direct and indirect labor to ensure adequate resourcing and compliance to budget targets
Leads direct reports with an emphasis on accountability and excellence. Participates in creating annual performance reviews, coaching activities, and performance management as required
Coaches and develops direct reports in personnel management skills to include hiring, performance evaluation and performance management
Emphasizes customer experience and exceptional service by both effective operational management and direct engagement with customers
Leads cross-functional teams (Planning, Engineering, Production, Shipping and Receiving) to achieve goals with focus on creating a self-correcting culture of excellence
Collaborate with EHS&R department to ensure highest standards of safety are upheld. Create a culture of transparency and accountability for all EHS&R practices
Provides technical guidance to ensure best practices are being followed in all areas of operation
Financial Management
Has shared ownership with sales of locational income statement's revenue and direct ownership of capital and operating expenses
Authorizes operating and capital expenditures at appropriate levels and ensures compliance to budget
Promptly identifies variances and shortfalls/excesses and addresses them to management
Participates in annual budgeting process
Analyzes income statement and other financial data to ensure operating practices align with targeted financial results
Displays exceptional stewardship through management of costs, capital projects, and facility improvements
Sales
Assists Sales and Estimating to expand business within existing accounts
Visits Top Accounts & Prospects as needed
Focuses on building relationships with top customers
Attends high level customer meetings as needed
Facility & Equipment
Provides vision for facility and equipment and coordinates with Maintenance and Facilities team to achieve this vision
Participate in or lead (as appropriate) selection, procurement and commissioning of new equipment and technology
Responsible for compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding environmental, hazardous chemical, and waste requirements
Coordinates capital asset management and develops budget
Ensures highest standard of facility readiness, efficiency, and cleanliness
Cross Functional Leadership
Work closely with Quality, Engineering and EHS&R departments to ensure that our strategic objectives are aligned and met
Participates and leads (as appropriate) continuous improvement initiatives which include support departments and other resources as needed
Ensure all KPI's are met or exceeded
Analyze and implement projects subject to the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22Code of Federal Regulations(F.R.) Subchapter M, U.S. Department of Energy regulations found in 10C.F.R. Part 10, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations found in 10C.F.R.Part 110 and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations found in 15C.F.R.Part 730et seq.

Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Related Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of Plant Manager or equivalent level experience required. Experience in aerospace or contract service sectors highly preferred.
Experience successfully building and managing teams.
Experience in precision cleaning and/or cleanroom environments highly preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification highly preferred.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams which include Operations/Production, Planning, Engineering and Logistics required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (training/presentations/report writing). Ability to interact at all levels of company and with people of various backgrounds and experience.
License: Possess a valid class "C" driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
