ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client in New Haven, CT has been providing affordable medical treatment to the surrounding area for over 60 years. With multiple on-site locations where individuals and families can receive supportive medical care including immunizations, family care, and walk in appointments. They are in need of a Grants Manager to join their team. This position has hybrid flexibility later on but would need to be on-site during onboarding. Report directly to the CFO who CFS placed


Job purpose

The Grants Manager is responsible for performing highly specialized grant accounting work to maintain the agencys general ledger and remain in compliance with Federal and State grant reporting requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepares bank deposit documents for patient cash and grant revenue and posts grant revenue only to general ledger
  • Prepares all journal entries other than cash receipts and cash disbursements
  • Prepares all semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual internal and external financial reports for grants and programs, as designated.
  • Reviews and approves all purchase requisitions for grants and programs.
  • Responsible for completion of grant worksheet (revenues, receivables, expenditures) for monthly board reports and annual audit
  • Completes all grant reporting/budget revisions as assigned
  • Meets with grant/program staff to review the fiscal portion of the grant/program
  • Imports bi-weekly payroll into the general ledger and posts
  • Performs monthly fringe allocation to all programs/departments
  • Performs other financial tasks as requested.

Qualifications

BA/BS Degree in Accounting and two plus years experience with Federal, State, and private grant reporting is required. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a deadline driven environment and advanced computer skills in Excel is a must.
