What we are looking for NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Assistant that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment. Location Join our team in Prescott Valley, Arizona Responsibilities The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting. How you will make an impact The Medical Assistant supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity. They provide patient care services in the back office urgent care setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient. Essential Education, Experience and Skills: Candidates in Arizona Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and The medical assistant candidate has completed an APPROVED Medical Assistant Training Program . Certification is not required but is preferred. The medical assistant candidate has completed an UNAPPROVED medical assistant training program AND Certification is required. The medical assistant candidate is eligible for hire if they meet one of the following three (3) criteria within A., or B., or C: A. The medical assistant candidate completed an UNAPPROVED medical assistant training program AND Was Employed as a medical assistant for one (1) year or more after program completion must have occurred prior to February 2, 2000,; B. The medical assistant candidate was directly supervised by the SAME physician, physician group, or physician assistant for a minimum of 2000 hours (approximately working 40 hours/week for 12 months) prior to February 2, 2000,; C. The medical assistant completed a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.
