Job Description Description: Job Summary Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, aged receivables, aged payables, and fixed asset schedules. In addition, the Senior Accountant will assist with budgets and year-end financial statements.

Essential Functions Responsible for completion of the general group accounting function. Interact with operating management members in accordance with reporting guidelines. Assist in maintaining company general ledgers including the following sub-systems/processes and the related accounting activities and creation of appropriate journal entries: Balance Sheet Reconciliations (Cash journal

entries/reconciliations,

Fixed assets and depreciation, Prepaids and other assets, Accounts payable and accrued expenses) Cost center operating expenses Champion the month-end closing process and related activities Perform account analysis and account reconciliations on all major accounts to ensure accurate reporting and timely identification of action items. Assist in the development of the annual budget process Generate accounting/ finance reports as requested Heavily assist with the annual audit & tax returns Recommend general improvements to closing cycle process Promptly informs Accounting/Finance of functions known or anticipated problems Acts as a problem solver and team player Keeps the management team informed of significant issues or developments identified during routine activities and actions being taken to improve the situation Presents technical information and/or procedures to the team Independently researches technical accounting matters relevant to company operations Requirements: Qualifications and Experience B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting required CPA license highly desirable 4+ years of relevant experience required 2+ years of accounting and financial analysis required, preferably in public accounting Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Solid understanding of general accounting concepts Ability to translate detailed information and utilize advanced spreadsheet reporting tools to enhance and simplify analysis Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, professional and proactive manner verbally and in writing Experience working with Oracle preferred but not required; Be creative, flexible, and able to drive/guide change; Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; Ability to work in a fast paced, and multi-cultural environment; Advanced excel skills; intermediate Microsoft Office skills
