Scope:

Customer is looking for a BI Developer or Power User who can assist with their Teredata to AWS Redshift Migration.

Responsibilities

Provide Customer with general review of conceptual architectural models on AWS Services mutually selected by Customer and AWS, which may include:

Review of Customer's constraints and dependencies

Assist Customer to develop associated evaluation criteria

Help define with Customer possible deployment patterns on AWS Services mutually selected between Customer and AWS (e.g., re-hosting, refactoring, revising, rebuilding and replacing)

Advise Customer on AWS general best practices for architecting on AWS Services based on Customer's mutually agreed use case(s)

Advise Customer during migration (specifically assisting in AWS Services performance tuning and enabling Customer to use AWS Services in a correct, effective manner)

Collaborate with Customer on documentation created during the Customer migration effort

Guide and help design, build, and migrate Customer's Oracle database to Amazon Redshift

Assess logs and fine tuning DMS and Amazon Redshift configurations and settings to the optimal performance

Review Customer's current Amazon Redshift setup, configuration, and assess the current security posture

Provide Customer with recommendations based on AWS general best practices for access controls, authorization, authentication, auditing, and logging of Amazon Redshift workloads

Provide Customer with recommendations based on AWS general best practices on how to extract information and identify anomalies

Collaborate with Customer on designing and building a RSB for up to two Amazon Redshift Customer workloads

Code and review AWS CloudFormation templates for RSB controls for the two selected Amazon Redshift workloads

Advise on the design and establishment of detection and reporting capabilities to capture deviations from the defined Amazon Redshift security baseline

Define and document Customer's desired future operating state and developing the backlog

Provide Customer with RSB documents for each identified Amazon Redshift workload: security controls checklist, solution guide, and run-book

Required Skills : Strong SQL Skills PostgresSQL Python Scripting Enterprise Level Experience w/ Data Types supported by Redshift or Quicksite Understanding of AWS Cloud Capabilities
