JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose:
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the billing process for customers and performing various accounting and organizational tasks to promote the financial health of the organization. This position requires great attention to detail, a desire to learn, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Scope & Responsibilities:
Evaluate work completed in the field and collaborate with construction supervision to determine when billing needs to take place
Send invoices to customers and monitor outstanding balances
Monitor cash flow and minimize delays in billing processes
Collaborate with customers and/or third-party institutions and team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
Support other accounting and project controls team members
As needed:
Assist with month-end close out processes
Maintain Accounts Receivable records to ensure aging is up to date
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Must possess basic to intermediate knowledge of: Outlook, Word, Excel
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Organization, time management, and prioritization abilities
Strong communication skills, including active listening, speaking, and writing
Must be able to maintain a work schedule and be dependable
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of being seated at a desk and working on a computer
Preferred:
Experience in billing and/or accounts receivable
Associate’s Degree or equivalent
Familiarity with Smartsheet and/or Sage 300 CRE
