JOB TITLE: Media Intern

DEPARTMENT: Media

REPORTS TO: Corporate Director of Channel/Media Strategy and Activation

LOCATION: Onsite, Hybrid or Remote. Pacific or Mountain time zones

ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the guidance of Media Management, this position is responsible for assisting the media team with a variety of internal and client needs. The Media Strategy Intern will interact with the media department and internal integrated team, and clients and media partners as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Helps with all types of paid media, including digital, social and traditional, gaining knowledge in all areas.
  • Assists with monitoring campaigns, helping to optimize if needed, in order to meet client KPI's.
  • Attends client meetings if needed, including status agendas and follow-up correspondence.
  • Helps with reviewing media proposals submitted and in developing POVs as needed.
  • Helps generate insertion orders for approved media plans.
  • Assists in sending and tracking media authorizations and contracts, including proper documentation of all approvals, signed paperwork and revised documents.
  • Helps with development of creative grids with proper media specifications for account and creative teams.
  • Depending on client, contributes to reporting, optimization and analysis/ROI of client plans.
  • Depending on client needs, helps with competitive market/media analysis for both internal and client teams.
  • Reports to and collaborates with Media Strategy Supervisor or as assigned as media support on client business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Current undergraduate majoring in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field. Seeking undergraduate with a graduation within one calendar year.
  • PST/MST preferred.
  • A team player whose qualities and motivations align with our agency's core values - fearless, integrity, advocacy, impact, ingenuity and foresight.
  • Strong oral, written and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Establish and build positive and respectful relationships with internal teams, clients and media partners.
  • Works to become educated on industry trends and market conditions.
  • Maintains accurate daily time sheets.
  • Maintains a business-appropriate appearance and demeanor with clients and in other professional environments.
  • Must be conscientious and self-motivated.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
