Description
Provide technology support and help desk assistance to provide additional support for students, who often report needing help with locating sites, completing assessment, registration, financial aid, and other paperwork, as well as assistance with technology issues.
The Technology Support/Help Desk will track numbers of users and types of data requested.
- This position is part of a 5-year grant with plans to sustain longer.
- This is a Part-Time position with subsidized group Health & Retirement benefits
- This position will remain open until filled.
- Assist students who are having technical issues by phone, email, and at student kiosks with:
- Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
- Password and log in issues
- MCC Email
- Moodle
- ReGroup (signing up for Text Alerts)
- Student Self-Service, including paying online
- Enrolling in the Payment Plan
- Downloading Microsoft Suite
- Connecting to the MCC WiFi
- Frequently ask questions or opting out of Follett Access
- Cengage, MindTap, etc. Login issues
- Making MCC Student ID Cards
- Using college hot spots and the mobile lab
- General questions about personal devices that are barriers to learning
OTHER DUTIES:
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through reading professional publications and attending workshops and conferences as appropriate.
- Maintain cross-training with other IT staff.
- Serve on various college committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree
