Job Overview: We seek a driven, detail-oriented candidate to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on an interesting variety of long and short-term development projects supporting our rapid response services, which assist insurance consumers in times of need. The ideal candidate enjoys functioning as an accountable team member, is comfortable sharing knowledge and learning informally from others, and has a passion for helping people. Prior experience in the property/casualty insurance industry is desired but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Assist in designing and developing software applications, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure the reliability and functionality of developed software.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software defects, providing timely resolutions and enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid understanding of programming principles and software development concepts.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks and technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React).
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Basic understanding of software testing and debugging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
