Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our team in the aviation and aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate programs for manufacturing machined parts, ensuring high-quality production, and optimizing machining processes to minimize waste. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric layouts, and proficiency in using PC-DMIS software.
Responsibilities
- Analyze job orders, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and other design data.
- Prepare geometric layouts from graphic displays.
- Recommend improvements or optimizations to enhance quality and efficiency of operations.
- Accurately determine necessary dimensions, make cutting tool selections, and identify appropriate machine speeds and feed rates.
- Create required reference points for machine cutting paths and sequence machine operations.
- Interact with machine operators and other personnel to identify and resolve programming issues.
- Comply with applicable business processes and work procedures.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, proactively identify job hazards, and collaborate with leadership to minimize hazards and ensure employee safety.
- Maintain regular on-site attendance at the workplace.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine programming experience.
- Broad knowledge of machining techniques and CNC machine tool operating procedures.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and PCMs.
- Experience with programming and modeling software such as Catia and SolidWorks.
- Vocational training in drafting, design, CNC machining programming, or similar engineering technical training is preferred.

Work Environment
The position operates on a day shift from Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime as required. CNC Programmers play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality machined parts, optimizing cutting processes to minimize waste, and ensuring efficient machine operations.
