Job Summary
The HR Consultant - Executive Compensation role is responsible for providing responsive and comprehensive consulting and interpretation of our executive compensation products and services. As part of the Total Rewards organization, you will partner with other members of the HR team as well as our partners across the organization. With general supervision, you will also help design, implement, and execute on programs that align with our total rewards philosophy. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced knowledge, skills, and the ability to work with greater independence to effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures that are complex and varied.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Research, document and benchmark peer programs and policies
Develop positive working relationships with business partners to effectively complete work activities
Assistance with onboarding and offboarding of Executives
Provide support and subject matter expertise to business partners, management and executives
Assist with development and creation of materials for Board of Director meetings
Create executive ready presentations and analysis
Stock plan administration support and assistance administering Duke Energy’s variable pay programs
Help supporting a variety of tasks including management and upkeep of HR portal sites, processing of payments, stock ownership guideline requirements, tracking of incentive measures and ad-hoc requests
Keep current on new legislation and regulations that govern Executive Compensation
Basic/Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
In addition to bachelor's degree, one (1) year minimum of related work experience
In lieu of bachelor’s degree, high school diploma/GED AND seven (7) years minimum of related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Advanced
Excel and PowerPoint knowledge and skills
Experience with proxy statements, stock plan administration and non-qualified deferred compensation plans
Experience with HR technology (i.e., Workday, Stock Plan admin systems)
Careful and precise attention to detail
Strong desire to learn and grow in this position
Ability to deal effectively with all levels of management, including
executives
Self-directed, but able to successfully operate within a team and collaborate with others
Thorough in approach with heavy focus on customer service
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Proven ability to work in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous tasks
Problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions and make recommendations
Working Conditions
M - F, 2 - 3 days per week onsite
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations. Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to Duke Energy Plaza
