Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Product Engineer responsible for developing new products and providing technical support to Sales and Marketing, Production, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Control.

1. New Product Development
  • Contributes to the development of new products, brings own perspective to conceptualization, creates drawings with parts lists and methods of manufacturing
  • Conducts peer reviews of engineering designs, drawings, and other engineering documentation
  • Performs design optimization studies, motion studies and other PC-based simulations
  • Product performance test plans, develops test setups, participates in testing of prototypes
2. Pre-Engineered Products and Specials
  • Analyzes engineering specifications, performance requirements, and related data and drawings to determine feasibility of application, product selection, and design scope
  • Creates preliminary designs, estimates manufacturing costs, requests pricing for purchased components
  • After sale support with troubleshooting and with evaluation of returned product
3. Engineering Documentation
  • Creates and maintains engineering data with item masters and with fabrication methods
  • Updates engineering drawings, specifications, item masters and manufacturing methods upon customer's feedback and requests, to address issues or to reduce production costs
  • Documents engineering changes, selects a correct Engineering Change Management approach and coordinates change routings by using the Engineering Change Order
  • Creates and maintains engineering specifications and assembly instructions
Requirements

Education and Qualifications
  • Requires education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering and design experience
  • Experience with Solidworks CAD/PDM/SIM and with Autodesk Inventor and Vault
  • Strong background in Statics & Strength of Materials
  • Practical experience with Geometric Dimension &Tolerance
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office
