Manufacturing/Operations Supervisor

TSC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Operations Supervisor based in Plymouth, MA to join our team in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will directs the manufacturing and packaging functions for high quality products and to achieve the business drivers of cost, quality, customer service, compliance and safety. Directs preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates and manpower and facilities requirement forecasts. Controls cost of production, warehousing, receiving and shipping of raw materials through appropriate subordinates. Ensures prompt and economical receipt of needed materials and supplies, and delivery of finished products to customers. Directs the preparation of specifications for purchase as to quality, quantity, delivery, and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies, and materials to meet production schedules. Establishes and maintains inventory controls and levels to conform to budgets and forecasts. Ensures good workplace organization along with focus on mass balance and high yield. High accountability for waste management. Champions change and implements continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (Operational Excellence) initiatives to generate cost savings.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field and 8-10 years of industry experienceUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearancePrior supervisory experienceUnderstanding of manufacturing technologies, machinery, and production processes. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.Exceptional understanding of business operations and program management recurring tasks, reports, and workflows across supporting functional areas and operational teamsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with quality assurance protocols, ensuring products meet specifications and standards.In-depth understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).Lean Manufacturing Certification, Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) a plus.Experience outlining and executing project objectives, goals, milestones, and completionPrevious experience and knowledge with US Government compliance for timekeeping and expense reports, contract clauses, or similar governanceComfortable serving as focal point for coordinating with multiple geographically separated work centers in different time zones to achieve time sensitive deadlines for products, work plans, or deliverablesStrong attention to details; Excellent organization, planning skills, verbal and written communication.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and get along with others.Ability to quickly learn new scope of work and grow with a scaling team.TSC Benefits: TSC offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package; including ESOP contributions, 401k Matching Program, Flexible Work Schedules, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Leave and much more.Applying to TSC: Employment at TSC is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, security investigation, and a drug screening.This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
