Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of projects by providing precise cost estimates and contributing to the companys commitment to excellence in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope of work.

- Utilize advanced construction management software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to enhance estimating accuracy.

- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

- Monitor and update estimates as project details and scope change.

- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction.

- At least 4 years of experience specifically in construction estimating.

- Proven experience working with project budgets ranging between $10 million and $50 million.

- Proficiency in construction management software and BIM tools.

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
