Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery
- Shift/Hours: Typically Monday-Friday, day shifts; 24-hour accountability for service line operations
- Holiday/Weekend Requirement: As needed; 24-hour accountability for service line operations
- On Call Requirement: As needed; 24-hour accountability for service line operations
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of patient care in assigned area(s)
- Coordinate care to meet patient needs
- Provide clinical and material support to staff
- Ensure continuous quality improvement and fiscal accountability
Must Haves:
- Current California RN licensure
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card
- C-EFM certification or FMC certification within one year of hire
- NRP card within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Minimum three years nursing experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- Two years of management experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
About the Unit:
- Beds: 13 labor rooms, 26 post-partum beds, 2 OR suites
- Patient Population: Women before, during, and after delivery
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: Working towards 1:4
- Ideal personality: Dedicated to ongoing education and best practices aligned with AWHONN and ACOG
- MyReports to: Director
