SALARY: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

BENEFITS: All eligible full time employees will receive Paid Annual Leave (PAL) starting at 23 days per year and raising by one day per year following one full calendar year of employment (January through December). They will also be offered health benefits and will be automatically enrolled in employer paid short and long term disability and life insurance.

All full time and part time employees have access to participate in the Delphinus Engineering 401(k) which includes company match of 25% up to 10% deferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provide Work Authorization Form review and submissions. Supporting projects as required for efforts on various waterborne vessels and surface ships. Responsible for maintaining a daily log during repair or availability.

LOCATION: San Diego, CA.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be capable and knowledgeable in mapping various electrical systems, circuits, controls, instruments and equipment onboard Navy vessels and/or ships.
  • Shall have knowledge in the types of electrical measuring instruments and of various electronic measuring devices, such as voltmeters, amp meters, ohmmeters, power analyzers, disconnect/reconnect and Initial Voltage Verification of electrical equipment.
  • Shall have vast working knowledge of shipboard equipment in order to isolate power sources, especially those fed from multiple power sources.
  • Must have previously worked in maritime industry and have the ability to determine when a repair is completed and what systems will be affected by disabling power source.
  • Shall have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals to make working diagrams, electrical systems, circuits, controls, instruments and equipment that tie into other various forms of potential energy.
  • Shall be familiar with shipboard systems operating requirements, applicable professional/trade standards and practices in a Shipyard or Marine industrial facility environment.
  • Must be able to obtain entrance into DoD shipyard facilities.
  • Requires excellent communication skills.
  • Prior training experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to travel 80%.
